Privacy Policy — Ezra Personal Assistant

Last updated: 2026-09-28.

Who this covers

Ezra ("the assistant") is a personal, single-user AI assistant built and operated by Josh Botz for his own private use. It is not offered to other users and does not accept sign-ups. This policy exists to satisfy Google API Services verification requirements.

What data is accessed

Ezra connects to one Google account (the operator's own) and may access:

How the data is used

Data is used solely to perform tasks the operator directly requests — reading a calendar to answer a scheduling question, drafting an email, organizing a file. Ezra does not use this data for advertising, does not sell it, and does not share it with any third party except the underlying AI model providers (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI) strictly as needed to process a given request, under those providers' standard API terms, which prohibit using API data to train their models.

Where the data lives

All data stays within infrastructure the operator directly controls (a private server, not a shared or third-party hosted platform). No data is exposed publicly or accessible to anyone other than the operator.

Data retention and deletion

Data is retained only as long as needed to perform the requested task, plus operational logs kept for the operator's own troubleshooting. The operator can revoke Ezra's access at any time via Google Account → Security → Third-party access, which immediately stops all further access.
